7th Grade Boys’ Basketball Holiday Tournament
Our hustling 7th grade boys’ basketball team was one win away from advancing to the final four at the St. John holiday tournament. On December 26th a shortened OLG roster took on a talented St. Michael team. St. Michael took an early lead and was up 19-10 at halftime. In the first half Colin Dernulc scored half of OLG's points with 5, Max Young and Chandler Tan provided the other 5 points. OLG trailed late in the game by double digits, but started coming back when Max Young and Chandler Tan each nailed down 3 pointers. Ryan Tombers, Scott Peters, Mickey Tobin, Max Young and Matt Kresich forced turnovers and OLG cut the lead to 3 points. St Michael put up a counter offensive and later pulled away with the victory.  Colin Dernulc led scoring with 7 points, Max Young and Scott Peters had 6 points, while Chandler Tan and Ryan Tombers each had 5 points. OLG finished the tournament with a 2-2 record.

Our 5th grade girls’ basketball team snagged 1st place in the St. Michael's Holiday Tournament.  Way to go, 5th grade Lady Knights!

Our 6th grade girls’ basketball team brought home the 1st Place Trophy from the St. John Evangelist Holiday Tourney.  To make it sweeter, our Lady Knight Natasha Haluska earned the MVP award for the 6th grade division.  Congrats, 6th grade Lady Knights!

7th grade boys:  Saturday at 11am playing St. John Evangelist at St. John.
8th grade boys:   Saturday at 2pm playing St. Thomas More #1 at St. Thomas.
8th grade boys:   Sunday at 1pm playing St. Thomas More #2 at St. Mary Griffith.

The Free Throw Contest is Feb. 5th at St. Bridget.
